- A mental health assessment is not a substitute for a professional medical diagnosis. These preliminary assessments capture your current state and raise red flags, if any, that may warrant further investigation.
- Do not rely on mental health assessments when experiencing severe mental health symptoms. Consult a doctor immediately.
- A physical health condition could sometimes trigger your current mental health state. Meeting with a doctor is essential if your assessment suggests moderate to severe symptoms.
- The assessments are in English. If one is not fluent in English, it is recommended that one finds a similar, validated assessment in the language of one’s comfort or seek help filling up the assessment from someone fluent in English.
- The assessments should be taken in one sitting, in a quiet place with few distractions. Completing the assessment in multiple sittings or filling it up amid distractions might affect the accuracy of the results.
